For a number of years Tupton Hall students have taken part in an exchange with the College Marie Curie in Troyes, France.
At Easter 2012 two teachers and 20 students from Tupton spent a very enjoyable week with their partner families in Troyes and it was a great success.
In October, 20 French students and their teachers visited us and stayed with their Tupton host families.
They were made to feel very welcome, and all English and French students enjoyed the experience.
In 2013, thirty eight Tupton Hall students and 5 staff travelled to the Black Forest, or ‘Schwarzwald’, in Germany.

Gifted & Talented Trip to Hull
In April a group of 25 Year 10 students of French, Spanish and German went to the University of Hull to practise reading and listening skills.
The students selected were all high achievers, many of whom were aiming for a target grade of A. Others were chosen as being Gifted and Talented in MFL.
They took part in a Controlled Assessment workshop and did a taster lesson in a more ‘exotic’ language like Russian, Chinese and Japanese.
Staff who chaperoned the students were impressed with their attitude and behaviour, and were very proud of them representing Tupton Hall School.
Gifted & Talented Morning in partnership with the University of Nottingham
Student Ambassadors from the University of Nottingham gave a presentation to Year 9 Gifted & Talented students – 20 students per language were chosen to take part. They completed a workshop which saw them design an app to promote healthy living.
In October 2013 a group of Year 11s stayed for one night at Lea Green Learning and Development Centre near Matlock.
This was an intervention trip aimed at improving skills in language controlled assessments for students who had not yet achieved their target grades.
European Day of Languages - 26th September 2014
A day of festivities took place in school to celebrate languages. Quizzes, competitions and discussion workshops allowed students to practice their language skills and learn about how languages can enhance your life experiences.
